Established in 1985, SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned Class A subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC). The company holds a Special Class qualification for general contracting of power engineering construction and a Class A qualification for power industry design, and employs over 8,000 staff members. It undertakes projects in thermal power, nuclear power, and new energy through models such as EPCO and EPC, providing full-industry-chain solutions ranging from feasibility studies to operation and maintenance, and is active in multiple sectors including power and financial investment. It is China’s earliest, most competitive, and most experienced specialized company in operating international power plant EPC projects, with the largest number of ongoing projects. The total capacity of its commissioned and under-construction units exceeds 87,000 MW, representing the highest annual average installed capacity in China. The company has won 10 Luban Awards and 4 National Gold Awards for Excellence, has expanded into 25 countries and regions, and has been listed among ENR’s “Top 250 International General Contractors” for eight consecutive years, ranking 58th in 2014. The Saudi Arabia branch was registered in Rabigh in September 2009 and has since relocated to Riyadh. It has undertaken 27 projects (12 completed and 15 under construction).
