China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) was established in 1979 according to the approval of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. As one of the pioneers performing international contracting and economic cooperation, CCECC has been developed from the earlier Foreign Aid Bureau of the Ministry of Railways of China into a large-scale state-owned enterprise with Chinese National Super Grade Qualification for railway project contracting, and has been listed among the world’s top 250 international contractors for many years by the Engineering News Record.

CCECC entered Saudi Arabia in February 1999 and officially registered as the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Branch in K.S.A(CCECCKSA) in July 2008. It has successively undertaken and implemented more than 30 projects, including the CTW400 North-South Railway, Mecca-Medina High-Speed Railway, King Abdul Aziz Tunnel in Jeddah, Two Underpasses in Najran, Two Bridges in Haer Road as well as Rainwater Network in Riyadh and Prefabricated Component Project in NEOM, covering multiple sectors such as railways, highways, bridges, building construction, and municipal works. Collaborating with local governments, CCECCKSA has contributed significantly to the feasibility study of the Saudi Landbridge Railway Network Project, making outstanding contributions to the transportation sector in Saudi Arabia.
