As a wholly subsidiary of Pan-Asia PET Resin (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., Pan-Asia Saudi Company Limited (Pan-Asia Saudi) was registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2017. The company is headquartered in the Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries and has an office in Riyadh. With a planned investment amounting to USD 3.8 billion, the Saudi project of the company will integrate petrochemical and chemical fiber products such as pure terephthalic acid (PTA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and fiber. The project will be built in three phases. For Phase I (construction lasts from October 2018 to August 2020), a 1.25mtpa PTA plant, 500ktpa PET plant and supporting utility facilities will be built. For Phase II (construction lasts from June 2019 to June 2021) a 1.25mtpa PTA plant and 500ktpa PET plant will be built. For Phase III (construction lasts from July 2021 to June 2024), a 200ktpa polyester filament yarn (PFY) plant, 200ktpa Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plant and 200ktpa polyester film plant will be built. After putting into operation, the project’s annual output will reach over USD 1.8 billion.
